Thinking of Cruises to Bermuda to Snorkel?

Many who take one of the cruises to Bermuda do so for the beaches and snorkeling. And you'll find that the snorkeling offered by the waters surrounding this island to be world class.

Of course anytime you combine pristine waters, abundant tropical fish and warm water temps that range from the low sixties to low 80s depending on season you've got a winner Add to that snorkeling is safe and cheap and this is a must do activity for anyone arriving by way of one of the cruises to Bermuda.

Even better you'll find you can easily reach prime snorkeling spots from shore. Most are located in relatively shallow water over the coral reef that rings the island.

Most cruisers into snorkeling bring their own equipment. Knowing that using a leaky, scratched mask can put a damper on even world class snorkeling opportunities. Still you will find you can often rent the needed equipment. But bring your own towels from the ship.

One popular Bermuda snorkeling hot spot is Tobacco Bay in St Georges. It offers excellent snorkeling and is just outside of town. Luckily most don't venture past the rocks. Which is shame since the best, most gorgeous fish, are to be seen just beyond them.

If you want another prime snorkeling spot you might wet a fin over to the rocky crevices around the fort at St. Catherine's Bay.

Then too Bailey's Bay is a little known snorkeling destination. There you want to take in the reefs and lively fish that await you on the far side of the islands just off shore.

Anyone who has booked one of the cruises to Bermuda would be well advised to take their digital underwater cameras to capture the memories of your snorkeling adventure.
